This is a closure sleeve O-Ring for the 4" Ames Maxim series & 6" Ames Colt series backflow preventers. This O-Ring rides between the body and sliding cover. There are two of these O-Rings per valve. The device must be removed from service to change this O-Ring. No special tools are required for service.
